Abatanguha — "the pioneers" — is the festival's resident dance company. A collective of Rwandan and East African dancers creating original works that fuse breaking, contemporary, and traditional Rwandan movement.

In 2026, Abatanguha premieres its flagship piece in collaboration with Le Phare (France) before touring internationally.
